This year, I am thankful for my family and friends who wish me “bon voyage,” are concerned for my safety while I travel, listen to my tales with interest, and welcome me home with open arms. Thank you, all.
Happy Thanksgiving to my American tribe; forever thanks to my Canadian. — L

Thank YOU for sharing your travel stories! …I can say “thanks” even though it’s not my Thanksgiving, right??
I’m pretty sure there are no rules about being thankful. Turkey and football, on the other hand, is only for Americans today.
“Remember the Thanksgiving I spent at the ION in Iceland?” That will be a story for years to come. So what is on the menu for Thanksgiving dinner at the ION?
The hotel’s restaurant, Silfra (named for the gap between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates which is in this general vicinity), serves a “New Nordic” menu. Lots of seafood, herbs, lamb, etc. No turkey. I’ll report back on dinner choice.
I am grateful this Thanksgiving night to read your blog posts. I am laughing, oohing and aahing, and salivating (I want some of that bread). What a great way to wrap up the holiday. I really want to know more about that “involuntary shouting” that may have occurred at the geyser. Who would have done that? I do hope you see the aurora borealis before you head home. Safe travels!
